Pilot observations before website changes
One question, one factual mismatch and a proposed clarification. An early observation, with no measured outcome.

Short excerpt · checked against the original saved answer
“Generative Engine Optimisation (GEO) agency”
This deliberately limited phrase matches the original saved answer. The record is marked as a successful, non-mock Google AI Mode response requested on 20 October 2026 at 20:55:26 UTC. It predates the proposed website changes.
Sources in the saved answer:
These are the two URLs retained with this answer. Their inclusion does not prove that either supports the agency description. When checked on 5 November 2026, the SOSV page described a neural AI platform for pets: another business with a similar name. We have not established why the answer used these sources, or verified their contents as they appeared on the observation date.
2. Check the answer against business facts
JanusLabs is a UK measurement software project in development, not an agency service. It is intended to help businesses selling physical products, services and digital products online follow how AI answers describe them and what changes after website improvements.
The owner has confirmed that the public cannot access the app, nothing is fully operational and clients are not being onboarded. The website previews what JanusLabs is intended to become. The broader intended audience is not evidence that all those use cases have been validated.
The agency description conflicts with the confirmed product identity. That gives us a specific factual issue to examine. It does not tell us why Google AI Mode produced the description.
3. Prepare a justified improvement
The proposed priority is to clarify what JanusLabs is, who it is intended for and what is available now. That change is within the website owner’s control and addresses the identity mismatch directly.
The proposed availability note makes the limits explicit: no public app access or client onboarding. The example report demonstrates the intended experience. This clarification is prepared locally; it has not been verified as published.
4. Verify publication, then measure compatible answers
After factual review and an intentional publication, check the live page and record when the change became public. Later readings should use the unchanged question and compatible service, UK settings and collection conditions. An altered question set needs a separate comparison.
Assess correct-business identification separately from mentions, citations and recommendations, and report each service separately. Keep failed readings unknown. A later answer may change for reasons unrelated to this website; before-and-after movement does not establish causation.
No outcome has yet been measured. This Pilot has not established a complete accepted baseline or a visibility improvement.
Evidence and limitations
- This intentionally limited extract was checked read-only against the original saved Pilot answer. The exact question, successful non-mock status, request time, quoted phrase and two cited URLs match that record. This check verifies what was stored; it does not independently validate the provider’s collection, the historical contents of the cited pages or the answer’s factual accuracy.
- No aggregate comparison figures are published here while the underlying saved observations remain unreconciled.
- Failed observations are missing evidence, not answers that omitted JanusLabs. Repeated observations are not independent buyers.
- A factual mismatch is not proof of its cause, and a prepared edit is not evidence of success.
- The current UK Pilot scope is 20 fixed questions across ChatGPT Search, Google AI Mode and Google AI Overviews. Current collection status still needs confirmation; no live collection is implied.
